Room for agents who want to do this honestly

Providence Wealth Partners is an independent insurance agency in Charlotte, North Carolina. We help families protect income, build cash value, and work through Medicare and retirement decisions without the pressure most people have come to expect from anyone holding an insurance license.

If that is the kind of work you want to be doing, there is room here. What follows is what we actually offer an agent, and what we expect in return.

Start here

How we treat clients is the whole job

Everything else on this page is support. This part is the work itself, and it is the part that decides whether you and this agency are a fit.

Independent

No carrier owns the recommendation

We hold contracts across multiple carriers, which means the answer to what a family should do is whatever actually fits them. You will never be asked to move a product because of where it sits on a bonus schedule.

Plain language

If they cannot explain it back, we are not done

Our standard is that a client can describe their own policy in their own words after we leave. That takes longer than a script and it is the reason people stay, refer their families, and pick up the phone years later.

No pressure

A good number of appointments end in no sale

Sometimes the right answer is that a family already has what they need. We say so, and nobody here gets a talking-to about it. Manufactured urgency and one-night-only closes are not part of how we work.

This agency runs on a Christian understanding of the work. In practice that shows up less in what we say to a client and more in what we will not do to one. If that framing is one you share, you will recognize the environment quickly.

What we provide

Support, not a script and a phone

New agents wash out of this business because they are handed a list and left alone with it. We would rather spend the time up front.

Training

Product knowledge that holds up

Permanent life, mortgage protection, Medicare, annuities, and ACA coverage, taught properly rather than as a set of talking points.

  • How to read an illustration
  • How cash value actually behaves
  • How to explain it to a skeptic

Mentorship

Direct access, not a chain of uplines

Sit in on appointments before you run your own. Debrief afterward, including the ones that went badly, because those teach more.

  • Ride-alongs and joint work
  • Case review before you present
  • Someone who answers the phone

The shelf

Carrier access and partners

Independent contracts, plus partner attorneys and a financial planner for the work that runs past insurance into estates and trusts.

  • Multiple carriers per product line
  • Attorney coordination on trust work
  • Non-resident licensing as needed

Leads

Access, and how to spend it

Established lead sources are available. More useful than access is knowing which type fits where you are and how not to burn a month's budget in a week.

  • Multiple lead types and vendors
  • Guidance on budget and pacing
  • How to work what you already paid for

Who this tends to fit

Three kinds of conversation we have often

Newly licensed

You passed the exam and nobody taught you the job

The license covers regulation. It does not cover how to sit at a kitchen table, ask the right four questions, and explain an answer. That part is learnable and we teach it.

Already producing

You are tired of the environment you are in

If you are captive to a carrier, or somewhere that measures the week in dials rather than in families helped, it is worth a conversation about what independent looks like.

Considering it

You want to understand the work before the exam

We will tell you plainly what the first year looks like, including the parts people leave out. Better you hear it now than after you have paid for licensing.

Plainly

There is no income figure on this page

Anyone who puts one in a recruiting ad is guessing, and almost always guessing high. What an agent earns here depends on how much they work, how well they learn the products, and how long they stay, which is three things none of us can know about you yet.

We will talk about real numbers directly, once we both have some idea whether this is a fit. That conversation is more useful than a headline, and it has the advantage of being true.

We should also be clear that agents here are licensed independent contractors, not employees. That arrangement suits most people in this business, but it is worth knowing before you spend time on it.
