Debt strategies

A way out of debt that fits your numbers

Most debt advice is a slogan: cut up the cards, skip the coffee, pay more than the minimum. None of that tells you which debt to pay first, what to do with the money each payoff frees up, or how long the whole thing will take. We start with your actual balances and build a plan around them, using the method that fits your situation and your goals rather than the one that sells the most books.

Step one

It starts with an honest look at where you are

Before anyone recommends a method, we lay everything out on one page. Most people have never seen all of their debts side by side, and that page alone usually changes how they think about the problem.

What we gather

Every balance, rate and payment

Credit cards, car loans, student loans, personal loans, medical bills, the mortgage. For each one: what you owe, the interest rate, and the minimum payment.

  • Statements are enough to start
  • Nothing gets pulled from your credit

What we look at

Your monthly cash flow

What comes in, what goes out, and how much is realistically available to put toward debt without starving everything else.

  • A plan you can keep beats a perfect one
  • Room left for life to happen

What you get

An order and a timeline

Which debt to pay first, where each freed-up payment goes next, and roughly when each balance reaches zero.

  • Written down, in plain English
  • Yours to keep whatever you decide

What it is not

Not settlement or a new loan

We do not negotiate with creditors, sell consolidation loans, or ask you to stop paying anyone. This is a plan for paying what you owe, faster and in a smarter order.

  • No debt settlement
  • No credit counseling fees

The proven methods

Four ways to decide what to pay first

Every payoff plan comes down to the same question: once the minimums are covered, where does the extra money go? The first three are the best-known answers, and each one works. The fourth is ours. We run your numbers through all of them and show you the difference side by side, so you choose with the full picture.

Snowball

Smallest balance first

Pay off the smallest debt, then roll its payment into the next smallest. The wins come early, and for a lot of people that momentum is what keeps the plan alive.

  • Fast, visible progress
  • Can cost more in interest

Avalanche

Highest interest rate first

Point the extra money at the most expensive debt. On paper it pays the least total interest, though the first payoff can take a while to arrive.

  • Least interest overall
  • Slower first win

Cash Flow Index

The Gunderson method

Developed by Garrett Gunderson. Divide each balance by its minimum payment, then pay off the debt with the lowest number first. It targets the debts that tie up the most monthly cash for their size.

  • Frees up monthly cash fastest
  • Builds breathing room early

Our approach

The Freedom Method

Starts with what you are trying to accomplish, not just what you owe. Buying a home, retiring on time, giving more, or simply sleeping at night: we tailor the payoff plan around your goals and the most efficient way to reach them.

  • Built around your goals
  • The most efficient path there

What happens next

Getting out of debt is the start, not the finish

Every debt you pay off frees up a monthly payment. Left alone, that money tends to disappear into everyday spending. A good plan decides in advance where it goes next: the next debt, an emergency fund, protection for your family, and eventually savings that you control.

That is the part most debt programs skip, and it is where we spend real time with you. The goal is not just a zero balance. It is a household that does not end up back in the same place two years later.

Next step

See your debts on one page

Bring your statements, or just the balances, rates and minimum payments. We will lay them out, run them through each method, and show you the order and timeline that fits. It takes about thirty minutes and costs nothing.

If your current plan is already the right one, we will tell you so.
